Challenges
The system needed to process different autoinjectors as well as various tray types on the same line. It required fast and reliable format changes, high process stability, and full traceability of all formats. At the same time, the configurations had to be clearly guided and monitored to consistently meet regulatory requirements.
Our Solution
We developed a flexible tray infeed with automatic singulation of tray stacks and designed the entire infeed and transport system to be fully format-capable. Interchangeable format parts ensure reliable handling of different tray geometries and autoinjector variants. The rotary system for the autoinjectors features a structured format-change mechanism that enables fast and repeatable changeovers. All format configurations are managed, referenced, and monitored within the control system, significantly increasing process reliability and traceability.
Special Features
The line is designed for multiple autoinjectors and manufacturers, ensuring long-term flexibility. The combination of modular mechanics, clearly defined format parts, and software-based format management reduces effort and risk during future product changes. The customer receives a scalable solution that can reliably accommodate additional variants.
