Modular Machine Platforms

Our machine platforms are based on modules and technologies that have proven themselves in many projects. Nevertheless, there is still enough flexibility to precisely integrate customer-specific requirements. The result is a solution that can be implemented quickly and yet is tailored exactly to the respective process—an efficient addition to individually developed special-purpose machines.

  • Assembly OBDS

    Assembly OBDS

The platform has a fully modular design. Modules can be docked or undocked within minutes and can be customized. The range of functions extends from labeling and marking to inserting the active ingredient, pressing the lid, and serialization. Depalletizing and palletizing stations can be integrated at the beginning and end of the line. The system supports laminar flow applications and is suitable for small series in clinical trials and launch sites as well as for high-volume production environments. The central machine core can be used with different modules for different formats.2

  • Assembly of Syringe / Auto-Injector

    Assembly of Syringe / Auto-Injector

Our assembly platform for on-body drug delivery systems is based on a stable and validation-friendly B&R system architecture. The entire system is completely modular. Individual process modules can be docked or undocked within minutes and can be individually designed for the respective application.

The modules' range of functions extends from labeling and marking to inserting the active ingredient, pressing the lid, and serialization. In addition, depalletizing and palletizing stations can be integrated at the beginning and end of the line. A laminar flow concept is available for sensitive products and can be integrated into the platform.

The system is suitable for small quantities in clinical trials and launch sites as well as for medium and large production volumes. The central machine core can be combined with different modules so that various product formats and variants can be realized within the same platform.

  • Blister Handling

    Blister Handling

The blister handling system opens shippers and white boxes, removes complete stacks of blisters, and feeds up to 150 blisters per minute in a controlled manner onto a cycle chain. It can be flexibly adapted to different formats and processes.

  • Labeling

    Labeling

Our labeling solutions cover performance classes from manual loading to 60 and 150 pieces per minute and support round, flat, and elliptical products. The systems can be flexibly combined with palletizers and tray loaders.

  • Needle Feeder

    Needle Feeder

The Needle Feeder is an unpacking and feeding system for cardboard and inner packaging. It processes shipper boxes from pallets, separates the needle boxes, and feeds them at a rate of 300 or 400 pieces per minute with high process reliability.

  • Palettizer

    Palettizer

Our palletizing platform is suitable for syringes, vials, pens, and many other products. It offers precise handling, high process stability, and flexible customization options.

Labeling

RoboMat labeling machines have been specially developed for the precise and reliable labelling of auto-injectors. Products such as the YpsoMate place special demands on product guidance and the exact positioning of labels, as their geometry lies between round and angular shapes. The systems enable stable product guidance and reproducible labelling for different performance requirements. All variants meet the requirements of pharmaceutical production, including GMP-compliant design, audit trails and complete traceability. The machines are designed for the following autoinjectors:

  • YpsoMate 1 ml
  • YpsoMate 2.25 ml
  • YpsoMate 2.25 ml
  • Pro YpsoMate 5.5 ml

Other autoinjector types, such as those from SHL Medical (Molly, etc.), can also be integrated.

Labeler 60

The Labeler 60 is designed for production environments with moderate cycle rates and achieves a performance of up to 60 cycles per minute. The machine is designed in combination with an integrated tray loader (palletiser). Integrated buffer systems enable a defined autonomy time to be achieved, allowing the system to operate stably even with manual feeding. A HERMA labeling system ensures precise application of the labels. The system is designed so that format changes can be carried out manually and in a short time. Typical areas of application are flexible production lines, smaller production volumes or pilot plants.

Labeler 120

The Labeler 120 is designed for higher production outputs and achieves a cycle rate of up to 120 auto-injectors per minute. The machine is equipped with two HERMA labeling systems. This results in two operating modes: Labeling of one product type with a maximum output of 120/min Operation with two different formats, which can be processed alternately without retooling In multi-format operation, one product is processed via one of the two labelling systems, resulting in a high degree of flexibility for changing production requirements. This variant is also equipped with an integrated tray loader for automatic product feeding.

Labeler 150

The Labeler 150 is designed as a continuous-operation, high-performance labeller and is engineered for maximum production output. The machine processes auto-injectors with high process stability at cycle rates of up to 150 products per minute. A HERMA labelling system ensures precise and reproducible application of labels even at high speeds. The system is designed for industrial series production in the pharmaceutical sector and can be integrated into automated assembly and packaging lines.

Pharmaceutical-compliant design

All RoboMat labelers meet the requirements of pharmaceutical production:

  • GMP-compliant machine design
  • Audit trail and data logging
  • Validateable software architecture
  • Integration of camera inspection and serialization possible
