Our Custom Machines

Tailored automation solutions – engineered from the ground up for processes where no standard solution exists.

When standard solutions are not enough

For tasks that lie outside our Modular Machine Platforms, we develop Custom Machines from scratch.
We analyze product, process, cycle time, and compliance requirements to derive a technically and economically sound solution.
The result is an individual, fully validatable automation system precisely tailored to your production.

Custom Machines

From the first idea to long-term service – we support you throughout the entire lifecycle of your system.

Idea

We start with your vision.
Together, we analyze process requirements, feasibility, and potential.
This results in a clear solution approach that is convincing both technically and economically.

Concept

Based on the idea, we develop a robust concept.
3D studies, functional layouts, and performance estimates create transparency and give you planning and cost certainty.

Realization

Mechanical design, electrical design, and control cabinet assembly are carried out under one roof.
After software development and mechanical assembly, test runs and stationary FATs follow before our technicians install and commission the system on site.

Service

Even after delivery, we remain your partner:
Health Checks, maintenance, spare parts, upgrades, and digitalization.
This ensures your system runs reliably and stays technologically up to date throughout its lifecycle.

Your Custom Machine in Six Steps

1. Idea & Concept

In the first phase, we clarify your requirements, analyze processes, and develop a viable automation concept.

  • Requirements & GMP framework (if needed)
  • Concept development (3D)
  • Cycle time analysis
  • LEAN assessment
  • Economic feasibility analysis

2. Mechanical Design

We design all mechanical assemblies in-house and validate concepts using simulations and functional prototypes.

  • Mechanical design in Solid Edge
  • Simulations & test setups
  • Development of grippers, feed systems, inspection stations, etc.
  • Validatable, service-friendly design
  • Procurement & manufacturing
  • Documentation (FDS)
  • Project coordination

 3. Electrical Design & Control Cabinet Assembly

Electrical engineering and control cabinet assembly are handled entirely in-house.

  • Sensor and drive system design
  • Safety architecture definition
  • Electrical design in EPLAN
  • In-house control cabinet assembly
  • Documentation (HDS)

4. Software Engineering

We develop control systems, HMI, vision systems, and safety logic in line with GAMP5.

  • PLC programming
  • HMI development
  • Camera systems & vision integration
  • Force sensing & process diagnostics
  • Software architecture according to GAMP5
  • Documentation (SDS)
  • Support for IQ/OQ and validation

5. Assembly

Mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems are assembled, tested, and aligned internally.

  • In-house assembly of all modules
  • Functional testing
  • Close coordination between mechanical, electrical, and software teams
  • Short reaction and iteration times (in-house manufacturing)

6. Commissioning

We teach processes, test functionality, and perform fully documented FAT and SAT.

  • I/O tests
  • Teaching
  • Performance runs & fine-tuning
  • Safety acceptance
  • FAT & SAT
  • Training
  • GMP documentation
