Challenges
The system needed to assemble a plastic membrane into a bottle nipple without applying stress to the material, followed by an activation step via defined pressure. A documented inspection cycle for opening and closing pressure had to be performed. All process steps required precise control and traceability, including verification of membrane positioning.
Our Solution
A rotary indexing table with eight double fixtures enables stable, repeatable assembly. Camera systems monitor all assembly steps. Vacuum and overpressure are used to perform both the membrane insertion and the functional tests. A calibrated leak-testing module (JW Froelich) validates each unit. Non-conforming parts are actively sorted out. Downstream blister packaging with foil sealing is integrated to complete the process.
Special Features
The combination of monitored joining processes, integrated measurement technology, and automated blister packaging ensures high process reliability and full traceability. The rotary indexing architecture enables a compact footprint, short transfer paths, and stable performance over long autonomy periods.
